Patrick Beaver Learning Resource Center wants to make sure students with dyslexia get the support and help they need to read and succeed in school.  We train classroom teachers in the Orton-Gillingham approach, a method proven to help students with dyslexia and beneficial to all students.

For the past two summers, Patrick Beaver Learning Resource Center held Orton-Gillingham Classroom Educator Trainings led by Alice Rullman and Reba Walden, active in Academy of Orton-Gillingham Practioners and Educators, for 18 teachers in Catawba County.

We plan to continue offering this training each summer.  Teachers have been selected for the 2018 training.  If you are a teacher interested in pursuing this training in 2019, please email our office at info@patrickbeaverlrc.org.
